  • Limited scope: The previous hiring approach had two separate rounds for assessing technical skills and business English, limiting the scope of skills included in one assessment.
  • Time-consuming: Two separate rounds led to a lengthy hiring process, causing fatigue among candidates and failing to screen out unqualified ones.
  • Biased decisions: The evaluation of English skills was mainly based on intuition and human judgment, leading to biased decisions.
  • Lack of automation: The absence of automation resulted in time-consuming interviews, extending the turnaround time unnecessarily.

Capgemini partnered with iMocha to overcome the challenge of hiring candidates with technical expertise and effective English communication skills. iMocha's AI-powered platform, AI-EnglishPro, offered a comprehensive solution that automated the evaluation process, eliminated biases, and prevented cheating.

Single test to evaluate both technical and business English skills: Capgemini utilized the freedom to customize assessments, fit in both technical and business English skills and best suit their hiring goals. They were looking to hire technically skilled freshers, at scale, having minimum English proficiency standards. iMocha AI-EnglishPro allowed them to combine an extensive library of business English questions with the world's largest technical skills library.

AI-powered automation & NLP models for efficiency & accuracy: iMocha AI-EnglishPro is an AI-powered tool featuring NLP models that accurately evaluated listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. iMocha equipped Capgemini with adaptive tests for a mix of High, Medium and Low difficulty questions.

Comprehensive reports & CEFR rating to make bias-free decisions: In addition to the assessment reports for technical skills, the platform generated comprehensive reports. The reports included CEFR scores, grammar, vocabulary, oral fluency, creative ability, readability, and language understanding, providing a 360° breakdown of candidates' English competency in real-life business scenarios.

AI-enabled smart proctoring to prevent cheating: In addition to randomized question allocation to prevent leaks, Capgemini used iMocha's smart proctoring features to check attempts of cheating in all assessments and maintained a 100% integrity for more than 50,000 assessments.
