AmaliTech is a global talent accelerator that provides digital solutions to its multinational clients. Its goal is to help companies concentrate on their core business and accelerate their time to market in a fast-paced technological environment by offering adaptable and cost-efficient IT/digital solutions.
AmaliTech’s mission is to empower the next generation of technology leaders in Africa. To facilitate this, AmaliTech has started its training academy, where trainees are inundated with the future IT and digital skills that will make them employable and/or help in starting their own ventures. While, this is a full-time extensive training program, AmaliTech team faced the challenge of measuring the training outcome or trainees’ knowledge after the course completion. This skills evaluation was important to place them at their own centres, and also for the trainees to apply for jobs outside of AmaliTech.
AmaliTech team decided to invest in a skills assessment platform to help them evaluate skills proficiency and improve their training program. After evaluating multiple tools, AmaliTech decided to go ahead with iMocha, primarily for our comprehensive technical skills library and, secondly, the flexibility to add own questions to the assessments. AmaliTech offers three specializations currently:

Their team collaborated with our customer success managers to create tests around the three competencies. Most of the tests used a combination of iMocha questions and their own questions. Besides this, iMocha provided a seamless integration with SmartRecruiters. With this integration, AmaliTech was able to view all the data available on the candidates in a centralized repository, thus saving 30-40% time in recruiting process.
AmaliTech has been using iMocha since June 2019 and till now have assessed 1,600+ trainees. With the help of the skills evaluation reports, AmaliTech’s team was able to enhance their training programs, with their focus now being on future skills and technology
