QuickBooks Credit Card Charges

Difficulty:

Medium

Q 1. Paul bought items from various vendors through his credit card. In his QuickBooks, he recorded each transaction by proceeding into the bill and putting in the credit card as his vendor, assuming he has to pay back that money on the credit card. In the account section, he puts in the type of expense.

You have been enlightened about this recently and are about to meet Paul today. What should you advise him regarding this process?
The process is similar to entering credit card charges, and therefore nothing needs to be done.
He should never put in his credit card as his vendor, instead, he should create an expense entry only when payment is done.
The correct process is going into the journal and posting the entry by debiting the expense and crediting the cash.
This process will not enable QuickBooks to record the charges to the credit card register and reconciliation cannot be done. He should rather enter it through the credit card charges method and create a bill later.
